In 2017, the City of Tacoma has allocated a 5.8-million-dollar budget for revitalization of the Lincoln District. We asked REALTOR® Alyssa Reische to fill us in on the project—what does the revitalization project include?

“The project will focus on South 38th Street from Thompson Street to Tacoma Ave,” Alyssa shares. “The city will be working on infrastructure improvements, economic development, public art programs, neighborhood beautification, defined parking, pedestrian amenities and human services initiatives.”

One of the main goals of the project is to showcase neighborhood business districts and to attract people into these areas. Providing better access (including parking) and a better atmosphere will hopefully contribute to the area becoming a destination neighborhood!

The project is planned to completed in November of 2017. You can learn more about what the project and budget entails here!
