Realizing your dreams! Vita Gusto!
Who doesn’t get goosebumps when they hear the preamble of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream…?” It is the recognizable words for this famous speech where he demands equality in a very turbulent time in history. In honor of his upcoming holiday, I read through the speech again. When Dr. King first talks about his dreams, he says “And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.” Part of the American Dream is home ownership. It was one of the rights that our founding fathers protected and fought for; the right to own land.
In that way, I’d like to think that what my fellow REALTORS® and I do, is help people realize their dreams. I believe this on a personal level, because it keeps me committed to this career, through the challenging times and the joyous ones. When you have handed over the keys to someone for their new home, and know that you assisted in the process, it brings great joy.
My clients have some great stories of planning important things for their future, and making them come to life. I am sharing with my clients’ stories as I share one of my lifetime dreams of traveling to Italy and renting a Villa in Tuscany for a family celebration. My hope is that others will be inspired to plan their dreams and make them happen.
“Vita Gusto” is my theme, which means “Relish Life” in Italian. That coupled with my tagline: gratitude, passion, joy, are the words that shape my dreams and life. On a personal level, “even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow,” what is your dream? World Peace? New job? New home? Investment property? Vacation condo? Trip to Italy? A healthier body? How can I help?
I am proud to be part of a Brokerage who helps us realize our dreams in our business planning, and encourages us to be significant in our community by reaching out to support them by donating and by volunteering in local charities with gusto! My clients and neighbors (thank you!) helped to collect food both during our WPP Thanksgiving food drive, and at my Client Appreciation Event: Breakfast with Santa. We brought our many pound donation to Families Unlimited Network in University Place. Thanks, director Angie Unger for all you do in our community!
